On May 8, within the framework of the Vietnam International Paper and Packaging Exhibition - VPPE 2024, Vietnam Packaging Association (Vinpas) organized a ceremony to honor the packaging winning the Vietnam Packaging Award 2024 at the WTC Expo International Exhibition Center, Binh Duong province.
The award aims to praise excellent packaging, contributing to promoting and honoring the role of the packaging industry in Vietnam's economy, thereby encouraging creative ideas for useful, environmentally friendly packaging... The slogan targeted by the Organizing Board is "Green packaging for a green earth".
The award was launched on October 10, 2023, until March 31, 2024, the organizing board received many applications from packaging businesses. Within the framework of the competition, the Organizing Board coordinated with PrintMedia Academy Vietnam to organize a series of online seminars with the topic "Green packaging for a green earth" on March 14, 2024, and March 21, 2024, attracting nearly 300 participants.
This year, the number of participating businesses and packaging is greater than last time. There were 20 businesses with 39 packages participating in the contest in 2022 while there are 22 businesses with 57 packages participating in the contest in 2024. The number of participating businesses stretches from North to South, many for the first time and some for the second consecutive time.
Coming to the contest, the participating packaging focuses on green and environmentally friendly elements.
Vietnam Packaging Awards 2024 received two special awards from the Chairman of the Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association and the Chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association.
The award was organized by Vinpas to vote for "Favorite Packaging" on the Awards website from April 17 to May 2, 2024, attracting 4,000 views and 22,900 votes. There were 03 Favorite Packaging awards honored.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dao - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Advertising Association, Packaging not only plays an important role in protecting products and their information but is also an useful advertising mean for the product. Beautifully and impressively designed packaging will attract customers' attention, thereby helping to improve competitiveness and expand new markets.
The award was launched from October 10, 2023 - March 31, 2024. Based on the votes of the Jury Council, the Vinpas Awards Committee honored 3 excellent awards, 3 main awards, and 14 thematic awards (3 awards for "Packaging with appropriate technology", 3 awards for "Packaging with impressive design", 3 awards for "Creative packaging", and 5 awards for "Sustainable packaging").
